According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Thursday, May 9, 2024, a 15-year-old Baloch teenager who had been severely injured by a bullet and transferred to Khatam al-Anbiya Hospital in Iranshahr was mistakenly declared dead by the medical staff while he was still alive and was sent to the hospital’s mortuary. He died a few hours later.
The identity of this 15-year-old Baloch teenager has been stated as Salman Shahli Bar, son of Abdolsamad, from Iranshahr.
According to the report, after Salman was transferred to the hospital, his death was mistakenly confirmed by the medical staff, and he was sent to the hospital’s mortuary. A few hours later, when the police went to the mortuary to inspect the bullet wound, they found he was alive and took him out of the mortuary.
After Salman was removed from the mortuary, he died due to the lack of timely medical attention and the severity of his injuries and was returned to the mortuary.
The family’s inquiries about the negligence of the medical staff and the incorrect diagnosis and transfer of this injured citizen to the mortuary have not received any response from the hospital authorities so far.
