Early this morning, Sunday, April 21, 2024, the death sentence for six Baloch prisoners along with one Kurdish prisoner, who had previously been sentenced to death on charges related to drug trafficking, was carried out. They were transferred to solitary confinement cells in Kerman and Chabahar prisons for execution on Friday, April 19.

Two executed prisoners in Chabahar prison are “Saeed Jadgall”, about 30 years old, son of Lal Mohammad, married and father of two children from “Komo Bazaar” village, and “Mohammad (Mohammad Jan) Anjamrouz”, about 33 years old, son of Molabakhsh (Malek), married and father of a child, from “Chowkat Vase” village located in Dashtiar.

According to this report, the identities of four executed Baloch prisoners in Kerman prison are “Ahmad Reza Miri”, 34 years old, son of Mohammad, married, father of two children, from Zabol and resident of Zahedan, “Shamsuddin Kashani”, about 53 years old, married and father of a child, “Shaukat Shahbakhsh (Darakzehi)” from Chah Ahmed village in Zahedan district, and Kurdish prisoner “Jamal Mardani”, 54 years old, son of Hossein, married, father of four children, from Gugjilu village in Bukan district in West Azerbaijan.

The identity of another executed Baloch prisoner in Kerman prison is not available at the moment of preparing this report.

It should be noted that the last meeting under the title of the final visit with the family for the four Baloch prisoners held in Kerman prison was conducted yesterday, Saturday , April 20, at 12:00 in this prison, and Saeed and Mohammad also had the last meeting with their families yesterday afternoon in Chabahar prison.

Saeed and Mohammad were detained about six years ago on charges of drug trafficking in Chabahar and were sentenced by the Revolutionary Court of this city.

“Shamsuddin” was detained about seven years ago, and “Ahmad Reza” in 1400, at the entrance of Kerman city on charges related to drug trafficking, and were sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of this city.

According to Ahmad Reza’s relatives, he has repeatedly denied his drug trafficking charges in court and was merely a bus driver where drugs were found.

It is worth mentioning that in 2023, at least 184 Baloch prisoners with various charges in 26 different cities of Iran, where Zahedan prisons with 54 and Birjand with 31 cases had the highest number of inhumane executions, were executed, among whom there were at least four women.
