According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, in the early hours of today, tuesday,December 19, 2023, at least one Baloch prisoner, identified as Ismail Ijbari, 35 years old, son of Shah Nazar, married with two children, a resident of Salehabad in Khorasan Razavi province, had his death sentence carried out by the judicial authorities of Qezel Hessar Prison.

Ismail, along with another prisoner, had been transferred to solitary confinement on monday , December 18, 2023, for the execution of the sentence. The identity of the other prisoner is currently undisclosed.

As per the report, Ismail was arrested in Tehran in 2018 on charges related to narcotics and was sentenced to death by the court in that city.

It’s been reported that his family was requested by the prison to visit for a final meeting.

Ismail has consistently denied the accusations against him in court. he was invited to the home of a friend in Tehran and was detained by military forces while attending as a guest.
