Execution of a Baloch Prisoner in Kerman Prison
At dawn on November 20, 2025, the death sentence of a Baloch prisoner who had previously been convicted of “premeditated murder” and sentenced to qisas (execution) was carried out in Kerman Prison.
The prisoner was identified as Ali-Asghar Izadkhah (Damani), 27 years old, son of Khodabakhsh, and a resident of Ziyarat village in Mehrestan County.
According to available information, Ali-Asghar Izadkhah and his brother, Mohammad-Taher, had traveled to Shiraz for work in 2020 and were employed at a poultry farm. On their way back, they became involved in a confrontation that resulted in a fatal incident. Both were arrested the same year. After trial proceedings, Ali-Asghar was sentenced to qisas (execution), while his brother received a 25-year prison sentence for participation in the killing.
Reports indicate that in 2024, at least 111 Baluoh prisoners were executed on various charges in 23 cities across Iran. Among them, 83 individuals were executed on drug-related charges, 25 on murder charges, and the charges of three others remained unspecified.
