On Monday , March 18, 2024, during the Human Rights Council session of the United Nations held in Geneva, Switzerland, Mrs. Sabah Banduoi addressed the blatant violation of human rights in Balochistan by the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Mrs. Banduoi, a member of the Balochistan Human Rights Group (BHRG), highlighted the ongoing struggles of the Baloch people against the Iranian government, stating that the deprivation of Baloch children from proper education and identification documents deprives them of fundamental human rights.
She also pointed out the severe and arbitrary suppression of Baloch protests by the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasizing that international support for appropriate actions to hold Iranian authorities accountable should be part of the United Nations’ agenda, utilizing international mechanisms to pressure the Iranian government.
