On January 14, 2024, the leg of a fuel carrier, injured due to military forces’ gunfire along the border route in Routsak, was amputated after four days. According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on January 10, 2024, Amannullah Nooti Zehi, a 21-year-old Baloch citizen from the village of Tehlab on the Mirjaveh border point, was shot by military forces without prior warning or stoppage. The medical examination confirmed the amputation of his leg. Notably, the report reveals that in 2023 alone, at least 321 fuel carriers were killed or injured in direct shootings by military forces, road accidents, unidentified armed individuals’ shootings, floods, and wildfires, as annually documented.
