According to a report by the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on the evening of Saturday, December 9, 2023, at least four Baloch fuel transporter(shokhtber) were killed and injured as a result of direct gunfire by military forces in the vicinity of the border point of Chaleh in the Shamsar Shastoon area (Saravan).

The identities of the fuel transporter(shokhtber)killed were reported as Majid al-Rahman Sokhangoo, 24 years old, son of Khodabakhsh, married, from the village of Manzouri in the Mehrastan district, and Habib Askani, 20 years old, son of Sharif, from the village of Zard (Nakpehen) in the Mehrastan district.

According to this report, as a result of direct shooting by the military forces towards a large number of Baloch fuel transporte who were passing through the border area of Chaleh in the Shamsar Saravan region, at least two Baloch fuel transporter were killed and two others were injured.

It should be noted that fuel transporting is one of the few jobs in which many Baloch citizens in various parts of Balochistan engage due to the lack of suitable and stable employment. They are forced to work as fuel transporter , which sometimes exposes them to risks such as car accidents, vehicle overturning, and direct gunfire by military and security forces, threatening their lives.
