December 10
Today is the International Human Rights Day.
On this day in 1948 the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. The contents of the declaration defines the fundamental civil, cultural, economic, political, and social rights of all human beings despite which country they belong to.
In Balochistan, human rights have been severely violated by the ruling regimes for centuries. In the recent decades the Islamic Republic of Iran has through various state sponsored attempts eliminate the identity of the Baloch people.
The alarmingly rate of executions of Baloch as the rate of executions of Baloch people represent over 20 percent of the executions in Iran.
State sponserd violence in form of shootings in public by the military and security forces at innocent people.
The collective trauma and systematic violence imposed by the government as clear strategies to eliminate any sense of linguistic, cultural and relious attributes of the Baloch people.
Part of a large scheme to manipulate the Baloch is the imposed poverty and deprivation, population and land engineering, destruction of residential homes. These are among the violations of international laws and human rights that the Pahlavi and Islamic Republic of Iran regimes have pursued in recent centuries
Peaceful and civil struggle of the Baloch people to assert their rights such as determining their destiny and national sovereignty can be a significant help in eliminating these atrocities, discriminations, and injustices
