On the 15th of October,2023 a Baloch child was detained in the old road area (Garaaj) of Zahedan city by military forces, who subjected him to physical abuse. The detained child, identified as Yasin Regi, 15 years old, son of Jahan Shah, is a resident of the old road area (Garaaj) in Zahedan.
It should be noted that Yasin, who is an orphan, was apprehended on a Sunday evening in the Garaaj area of Zahedan by military personnel, physically assaulted, and transferred to an undisclosed location. Despite the efforts of his family, there is still no information available regarding his condition.
No information is currently available regarding the charges against this Baloch child or the location of his detention.
It is worth mentioning that the Islamic Republic of Iran is a primary violator of children’s rights, and by arresting and detaining Baloch children, it seeks to create fear and terror among the Baloch population.
