The Human Rights Group of Balochistan reported that on September 10, 2023, security forces raided the home of two Baloch teenage brothers named Benjamin and Elias Kohkan in Zabol. Without presenting a judicial order, they detained and transferred them to an undisclosed location, a clear violation of human rights.

The identity of this Baloch citizen is given as “Idris Kohkan,” born on August 4, 2000, son of Hamid Reza, originally from Zahedan, and residing in Zabol.

According to the report, intelligence forces, accompanied by agents of the intelligence agency, stormed Idris’s residence in the early morning hours. They arrested him without following the legal procedures, despite his fractured limbs due to a recent road accident in Platine.

The accusations and reasons for the detention of this Baloch citizen are not known at the moment, raising concerns about potential rights violations. Idris’s family is deeply concerned about his well-being, particularly due to his broken limbs.

It’s worth mentioning that two brothers, Benjamin (under eighteen years old) and Elias, were separately detained in Zahedan on January 2, 2022, during arbitrary arrests and are currently held without clear charges.

It should be noted that the families of these individuals, especially their father, who is a former political prisoner in Balochistan, are under severe pressure from security authorities, highlighting the ongoing human rights abuses in the region.
