On September 10, 2023, the execution of at least one Baloch prisoner on charges related to narcotics took place in Birjand Prison, according to reports from the Balochistan Human Rights Group.
The identity of this Baloch prisoner has been confirmed as Saeed Sanjirani, a 23-year-old, son of Hanif, married with two young children, resident of Zahedan.
According to sources from the Balochistan Human Rights Group, “Saeed was arrested in 2020 in Birjand and had been sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of this city, with his execution being carried out early this morning.”
It is worth mentioning that from April 28, 2023, to September 10, 2023, at least 88 Baloch prisoners, including four women, have been executed. From August 20, 2022, to September 10, 2023, at least 189 Baloch citizens in various prisons across the country have been executed, with these figures being based on verified identities
