following the transfer of the Oman Sea to China by the Islamic republic of Iran , impoverished Baloch fishermen find themselves compelled to embark on hazardous journeys, including hazardous oyages to places like Somalia.

Based on investigations conducted by the Balochistan Human Rights Group, approximately three months ago, two fishing vessels, carrying a crew of 36 and equipped with necessary permits, set sail for the waters of Somalia to engage in lawful fishing activities. Tragically, they fell into the hands of individuals there and have been held hostage since.

It’s evident that while the United States government resorts to various measures, including diplomatic engagement with the Islamic Republic of Iran, to secure the release of its own detainees, the Iranian government, in contrast, takes foreign nationals hostage to advance its own agenda.

However, when it comes to the plight of these 36 Baloch fishermen, who have been captive in Somalia for over three months now, the Islamic Republic of Iran has taken no action whatsoever.

This highlights a stark contrast in priorities, shedding light on the unfortunate situation faced by these fishermen who are caught in the midst of geopolitical maneuvers, enduring captivity in a foreign land with little recourse or international attention.
