According to Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Monday, December 19, 2022, the death sentence of an 18-year-old Baloch teenager was issued.
The identity of this Baloch citizen is “Shoaib Mir Balochzahi” (Rigi), born on 07th of February 2004, the son of Sharif, a third year high school student and a resident of Zahedan. He was arrested by the intelligence forces on Wednesday 23 September 2022 in Zahedan.
According to an informed source, Shoaib was arrested by intelligence forces on Wednesday, September 23rd ,near Khayam Street, and was severely tortured in the detention center of this organization, so that severe bruises were still on his body after a month.
According to this report, during this period, he was tortured and assaulted, forced to confess, and without the right to a lawyer and his family’s knowledge, his trial was held and a death sentence was issued against him.
Shoaib’s court session was held while earlier the officials of the Intelligence department announced when his mother visited: “Your child has a political crime and you have no right to visit here.”
In order to put pressure on his family, the security forces contacted his younger brother, who is under 18 years old, and asked him to introduce himself to the Intelligence Department. It is worth mentioning that after Shoaib’s death sentence was announced, they were given 20 days to protest.
