Wave of Executions of Baloch Prisoners in Iran
At Least 8 Prisoners Executed in Four Days
According to the Balochistan Human Rights group within just four days at least eight Baloch prisoners were executed in different prisons across Iran. Most of these executions were carried out on drug-related charges, and families have reported lack of fair trials and pressure on the defendants.
Identities of the Executed Prisoners
Nadim Ashrafzadeh, 38, from Chabahar – Isfahan Prison (September 17)
Abdolqader Sargolzaei, 36, from Zahedan – Isfahan Prison (September 17)
Amer Parki (Baluchzehi), 28, father of a 5-year-old daughter – Zahedan Central Prison
Elias Shirozehi, 27 – Zahedan Central Prison
Abdolsamad Salarzehi, 42, father of six children – Birjand Prison
Abdolmajid Barahouie, 41 – Birjand Prison
Reza Sarani, 51, father of two children – Kashmar Prison (Razavi Khorasan Province)
Parviz Yousefzahi, 27 – Gonabad Prison (Razavi Khorasan Province)
According to the annual report of the Balochistan Human Rights group in 2024 at least 111 Baloch prisoners were executed across Iran, including 83 on drug-related charges,25 on murder charges,and 3 with charges remaining unknown.
