BHRG November -2025 Newsletter
The Balochistan Human Rights Group (BHRG) is an independent, non-profit NGO that documents and reports verified human rights violations in Iranian Balochistan (Western Balochistan) through investigations and reliable evidence.
Key incidents reported in November 2025:
- UN Advocacy:
- BHRG representative Sabah Bandouei delivered a speech at the 18th UN Forum on Minority Issues in Geneva (27 November) on the theme “The Contribution of Minorities to Diverse, Resilient, and Peaceful Societies.”
- Executions:
- At least 6 Baloch prisoners were hanged in various Iranian prisons, mostly on drug-related or murder charges. Baloch individuals remain disproportionately represented in Iran’s high execution statistics.
- Extrajudicial Killings:
- At least 11 Baloch citizens killed and 3 injured in direct shootings by Iranian security and police forces – described as part of a systematic policy against the Baloch minority.
- Killings by Unidentified Armed Men:
- 29 Baloch citizens killed and 9 injured by unknown gunmen, widely believed locally to be state-backed groups aimed at creating fear and instability.
- Fuel Carriers:
- At least 25 Baloch fuel carriers died (3 from direct gunfire by security forces), and 13 were injured (4 by gunfire, 9 in road accidents). Fuel carrying remains one of the deadliest livelihoods due to poverty and unemployment.
- Home Demolitions:
- Iranian forces and municipalities destroyed several Baloch homes in Zahedan and Chabahar without legal warrants, injuring residents (including a child and mother) and leaving families homeless.
