Killing of a Baloch Teenager due to Military Forces’ Shooting in Iranshahr County

According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, this morning on Thursday, November 16, 2023, law enforcement forces opened fire on a private vehicle in the Damun district, a suburb of Iranshahr County, without prior warning or signal. As a result, a Baloch teenager named ‘Matin Narooi,’ 18 years old, son of Zameer, resident of Iranshahr, tragically lost his life after being shot in the head.

Matin, traveling in his vehicle around 8 AM along the Damun route, approximately 25 kilometers from Iranshahr city, became the target of gunfire by law enforcement officers without any prior warnings or signs. He suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head, leading to his untimely demise.
