Arrest of a Baloch Citizen by Security Forces in Rask County
According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, yesterday, February 3, 2026, IRGC Intelligence forces in Rask County arrested a Baloch citizen without formally charging him or presenting any judicial warrant, and transferred him to an unknown location.
The identity of the arrested citizen has been reported as Abdolrahman Lallazahi, 29 years old, son of Qader Bakhsh, married, originally from Mir Dok village in Sarbaz County and resident of Pashamag area in Rask County.
According to received information, he was arrested around 17:00 yesterday afternoon at a car wash located in Depkor village, Sarbaz County, by IRGC Intelligence forces without the presentation of any judicial warrant or legal explanation.
During this operation, the agents not only arrested this citizen but also took away his personal vehicle. To date, no information has been provided to the family regarding his exact place of detention, the reason for the arrest, any possible charges, or his legal status. The family of Abdolrahman Lallazahi remains in complete uncertainty and has received no contact from him.
According to compiled data by the Balochistan Human Rights Group, at least 978 individuals were arrested in Balochistan throughout the year 2025. Among these individuals, 394 lacked identity documents or birth certificates. During this period, 19 cases of group arrests were recorded in which more than one person was detained simultaneously, and in 12 instances, the number of detainees in a single operation exceeded five people.
The Balochistan Human Rights Group considers this arrest a clear case of arbitrary detention and enforced disappearance, and calls for the immediate disclosure of Abdolrahman Lallazahi’s place of detention, the provision of legal grounds for his arrest, and guarantees of access for his family and lawyer. The continued practice of such actions without following due legal process constitutes a flagrant violation of the right to personal security, the right to a fair trial, and the prohibition of arbitrary detention.
