Execution of a Baloch Prisoner in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan

According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on the morning of October 7, 2025, a Baloch prisoner, previously sentenced to death on drug-related charges, was executed in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan.

The identity of the Baloch prisoner is reported as Masoud Maleki (Malekzehi), 33 years old, son of Mohammad, originally from Balochistan and a resident of Shahr-e Reza in Isfahan province.
According to sources from the Balochistan Human Rights Group, Masoud was arrested in 2018 in Shahr-e Reza, Isfahan province, and after several years of imprisonment in Isfahan, he was sentenced to death for drug trafficking. The prisoner’s body was handed over after the execution and transferred by his family and relatives to Zahedan for burial.


In 2024, at least 111 Baloch prisoners were executed on various charges in 23 different cities in Iran, with 83 individuals executed on drug-related charges, 25 on murder charges, and the charges for 3 cases remain unknown.
