Death of a Baloch Citizen Due to Direct Shooting by Military Forces in Saravan After 9 Days of Hospitalization

According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on October 27, 2025, a Baloch citizen, who was severely injured 9 days ago on October 18, 2025, due to direct shooting by military forces on the Aspeich axis in Saravan County, passed away after being transferred to a hospital in Tehran and spending several days in critical condition.

The identity of this Baloch citizen has been reported as Abdullah Shahnawazi (Roshanzahi), 24 years old, son of Idris, and a resident of Khash. According to sources from the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on the night of the previous Saturday, military forces opened fire at close range on Abdullah’s vehicle, which was carrying two Afghan migrants, resulting in several bullets hitting his body and causing severe injuries.

His family transferred him to Tehran for treatment in an effort to save his life, but their efforts were in vain, and Abdullah passed away after 9 days. It is worth noting that during the shooting by military forces, one of the Afghan migrants was also hit by a bullet, and no information is available about their fate at the time of this report.

Based on the annual report of the Balochistan Human Rights Group in 2024, the actions of military and security forces have resulted in the death and injury of at least 208 Baloch citizens in various areas. Of these cases, 115 individuals lost their lives, and 93 were injured, including 13 children and 4 women among the deceased, and 20 children and 12 women among the injured.
