Abduction and Killing of a Baloch Citizen in Jangarak Village, Chabahar
According Balochistan Human Rights Group (BHRG), on the evening of Wednesday, 3 September 2025 (12 Shahrivar 1404), a Baloch citizen in the village of Jangarak, Chabahar County, was attacked by unidentified armed assailants. He was abducted and subsequently killed by gunfire.
The attackers first ran him over with a vehicle, then transferred him to another location, where he was severely beaten before being shot dead. His body was later abandoned near the village.
The victim has been identified as Eman Jangariki, son of Emam Bakhsh, a resident of Jangarak village, Chabahar County.
According to the information obtained, after running him over, the assailants inflicted multiple severe injuries, including fractures to his legs, before fatally shooting him.
At the time of reporting, the perpetrators of this crime remain unidentified. Unconfirmed accounts have suggested the possibility of a family-related dispute, but no official confirmation has been made.
It is important to note that patterns of such violence have been widely documented. According to collected reports, in 2024 alone at least 469 Baloch citizens were attacked by unidentified armed groups. Among them, 284 were killed and 185 injured, including 47 children and women. Of these, 17 children were killed, 14 injured, while 9 women were killed and 7 others injured.
This incident highlights the ongoing pattern of targeted violence and insecurity faced by the Baloch population, and underscores the urgent need for transparent investigations, accountability for perpetrators, and protection of vulnerable communities.
