Reportedly, on the morning of Sunday , November 19, 2023, the sentences of three prisoners, including two Baloch detainees previously condemned to death on charges related to narcotics, were carried out in Bandar Abbas prison.
The Baloch citizens are identified as ‘Abdulghafoor Mahmoodi,’ son of Morteza, and ‘Mohammad Hussein Tashtzar (Mirani),’ son of Akbar Dad, both unmarried and hailing from the Rudbar-e Zamin area of Balochistan, and the third citizen, ‘Ali Payam (Maleki),’ 26 years old, married, and a resident of Bandar Abbas.
Allegedly, Mahmoodi, Mirani, and Maleki were detained in 2019 in Bandar Abbas on charges linked to narcotics and were subsequently sentenced to death in a joint case by the Revolutionary Court of that city.
As per a knowledgeable source quoted in this report: ‘These prisoners were transferred to solitary confinement cells in this prison on Friday, November 17, and had their final visitation with their families on Saturday.’
Thus far, the execution of these prisoners has not been officially announced by the prison authorities or responsible institutions.
