According to a report by the Balochistan Human Rights Group (BHRG), on the morning of Sunday ,October 8, 2023, the execution of at least one Baloch prisoner with drug-related charges took place in Torbat Hyderiyeh Prison.
This Baloch prisoner, identified by BHRG as “Imam Bakhsh Gorgij,” son of Zaman Khan, married with one child, and a resident of Zahedan, was sentenced to death four years ago on charges related to narcotics. He was detained near the city of Turbat Hyderiye by military forces and subsequently transferred to the prison in the same city. A year after his detention, he was sentenced to execution in a revolutionary court session.
It should be noted that the execution of Imam Bakhsh took place without notifying his family, and his final meeting in Torbat Hyderiyeh Prison. This information is reported as a human rights matter.
