According to Balochistan Human Rights Group, the arrest and lack of information about the condition of a Baloch citizen who was arrested on the evening of September 30th , 2022, by uninformed forces in Zahedan city, has caused concern for his family.
The identity of this Baloch citizen “Arif Gorgij”, 29 years old, son of Nurullah from Shirabad area of ​​Zahedan city, has been ascertained by the Balochistan Human Rights Group.
An informed source said: More than sixty-eight days have passed since Aref’s arrest, not only has he not met his family, but he has not been able to make any contact with his family.
This source added: Despite repeated follow-ups, his family has not received an answer either from the judicial system or from the security agencies.
It should be mentioned that Aref was one of the security forces in Makki Mosque who helped the injured people of the Bloody Friday.
According to this report, he was arrested an hours after the killing of the prayers by the security and military forces on University Street.
It should be noted that after the massacre of people praying in Zahedan on September 30th , 2022 and the massive public protests, the security agencies have arrested hundreds of Baloch citizens. Many of these people have been denied the right to contact their family and get a lawyer.
