Arrest and torture of a Baloch student by IRGC intelligence agents in Chabahar

According to Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Saturday evening, December 03^rd,2022, a Baloch student was arrested by IRGC intelligence forces in Chabahar.

The identity of this Baloch citizen is Shahab Rigi,  son of Mahmoud and a student of  engineering at Chabahar  University.

It is said that Mr. Rigi was arrested in front of the University by IRGC intelligence officers and transferred to one of the detention centers of this institution in Chabahar.

According to an informed source, “Mr. Rigi was beaten in the IRGC intelligence detention center and his right hand was broken.”

He mentioned  “Today, Monday, December 05^th , Shahab’s trial was supposed to be held, but it was canceled without any reason or notification to his family.”

With the follow up of his family they announced his transfer to Zahedan and charged him as the leader of the protesters.

According to one of the students, Shahab did not participate in the protests and only on October30^th, 2022, he stated the problems of the university and the demands of the students at the Azadi Tribune Azad(free flatform), which was held in the presence of the university officials.
