According to Balochistan Human Rights Group, today, Wednesday, November 16th 2022, Faezeh Brahui, a Baloch girl who was arrested from Zahedan, has been released on bail after about a month and a half of detention.
Faezeh was arrested by the security forces on October 3rd , 2022, after she demanded investigation into the case of the rape of a 15-year-old Baloch girl by the police commander of Chabahar.
Her court session was held on November 10th,2022 in the second branch of the Zahedan Revolutionary Court and she had been sentenced to three years and six months in prison. It should be noted that the court session for her was held without a defence lawyer.
The accusations brought against Faezeh were working against national security, insulting the leader of the Islamic Republic, Ali Khanenei, and propaganda against the regime.
During Miss Brahui’s period of detention, human and social rights activists demanded her unconditional release.
