{"id":4689,"date":"2026-02-15T17:56:33","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T17:56:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bhrg.info\/en\/?p=4689"},"modified":"2026-02-15T17:56:34","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T17:56:34","slug":"arrest-of-a-baloch-citizen-by-intelligence-administration-forces-and-lack-of-information-about-him-after-8-days-in-saravan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bhrg.info\/en\/arrest-of-a-baloch-citizen-by-intelligence-administration-forces-and-lack-of-information-about-him-after-8-days-in-saravan\/","title":{"rendered":"Arrest of a Baloch citizen by Intelligence Administration forces and lack of information about him after 8 days in Saravan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Friday, February 6, 2026, Mr. Meysam Dehvari, 27 years old, son of Abdulghafur, a retired service employee of Razi Hospital in Saravan, was arrested by Intelligence Administration forces right in front of his private residence in the Aspich area of Saravan County while returning from a trip to Chabahar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Security forces presented no judicial warrant and provided no explanation regarding the reasons for his arrest to him or his family. As of 8 days after the arrest (at the time of preparing this report), the family of this citizen remains completely uninformed about his place of detention, the reason for his arrest, any possible charges, and his physical and mental condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This action constitutes a clear example of arbitrary detention and enforced disappearance, which is a flagrant violation of Articles 9 and 16 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), to which Iran is a party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Balochistan Human Rights Group recalls that, according to its annual report for the year 2025, at least 978 citizens were arrested in Sistan and Balochistan Province, of whom 394 lacked identity documents or birth certificates. Additionally, 19 cases of group arrests were recorded, in 12 of which more than five individuals were detained simultaneously.
