Northern Balochistan is experiencing one of its most terrifying environmental crises <\/strong>today. Severe sand and dust storms have pushed the Air Quality Index (AQI) to 500\u2014the highest hazardous level.<\/strong> This not only disrupts daily life but also violates the fundamental right of the Baloch people to breathe clean air.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immediate Impacts on Balochistan\u2019s People: <\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Schools and public institutions shut down <\/strong>due to life-threatening conditions for children and the elderly  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– A surge in respiratory patients <\/strong>in under-resourced local hospitals  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Daily work halted for farmers and herders,<\/strong> whose livelihoods are at risk  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Government inaction <\/strong>despite repeated pleas from Baloch communities  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lake Hamun: Victim of Discriminatory Water Policies <\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Illegal dam construction <\/strong>(Kajaki, Kamal Khan) disregarding Balochistan\u2019s rights  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Weaponizing water <\/strong>as political leverage against Baloch-populated regions  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Iran\u2019s Neglect and Discrimination Against Balochistan: <\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Failure to enforce water rights <\/strong>in talks with the Taliban  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This crisis is a blatant violation of Balochistan\u2019s human rights,<\/strong> yet:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– The international community <\/strong>has failed to act meaningfully  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– Iran\u2019s government <\/strong>offers token gestures instead of real solutions  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

– The Baloch people\u2019s right to a healthy environment <\/strong>is ignored  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Urgent Call to Action <\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We demand human rights organizations, environmental groups, and the global community <\/strong>to:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Send independent observers <\/strong>to investigate this ecological disaster  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Sanction Afghanistan\u2019s illegal water projects <\/strong>violating Baloch rights  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Pressure Iran <\/strong>to enforce the Helmand River water treaty  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Provide emergency aid <\/strong>to Balochistan for clean air and water access  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Balochistan is suffocating! <\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not just a local crisis\u2014it is a test of humanity\u2019s conscience.<\/strong> If we do not act now, we will witness the slow death of a people and their land.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n
