{"id":3814,"date":"2025-03-02T12:40:06","date_gmt":"2025-03-02T12:40:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bhrg.info\/en\/?p=3814"},"modified":"2025-03-02T12:40:07","modified_gmt":"2025-03-02T12:40:07","slug":"monthly-report-february-2025-balochistan-human-rights-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bhrg.info\/en\/monthly-report-february-2025-balochistan-human-rights-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Monthly Report \u2013 February 2025 | Balochistan Human Rights Group"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Execution of at Least Four Baloch Citizens in February 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In February 2025, at least four citizens were executed in Iranian prisons, all of whom had limited access to defense lawyers, fair trials, and proper legal procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Abdollah Safarzahi<\/em> \u2013 Imprisoned for about 5 years \u2013 Married, 1 child \u2013 Birjand Prison \u2013 February 27, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Mahmoud Barahouei<\/em> \u2013 35 years old \u2013 Father&#8217;s name: Abdolsamad \u2013 Single \u2013 Ghezel Hesar Prison \u2013 February 20, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Mehdi Shahbakhsh Pirsourani<\/em> \u2013 40 years old \u2013 Father&#8217;s name: Nematollah \u2013 Married, 1 child \u2013 Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan \u2013 February 12, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Gol Mohammad Gorgij<\/em> \u2013 34 years old \u2013 Single \u2013 Unknown prison \u2013 February 2025<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><em>2024 Execution Statistics<\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, at least <em>111 Baloch prisoners<\/em> were executed in various Iranian cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Zahedan:<\/em> 27 cases<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Birjand:<\/em> 13 cases<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Yazd:<\/em> 14 cases<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> Fuel Carriers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the month of February 2025 , at least six Baloch fuel carriers lost their lives, including Behzad Shohli Bor, a 25-year-old young man who was killed by direct fire from military forces. Additionally, at least six other fuel carriers were injured, one of whom was wounded after <em>being run over by security forces<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the annual report of the Balochistan Human Rights Group, in 2024, <em>at least 479 fuel carriers were killed or injured<\/em> in various incidents. Among them, <em>253 lost their lives, while 226 were wounded<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>                     <strong>Civilian Casualties and Injuries Among the Baloch Due to Security Forces&#8217; Gunfire<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Yousef Shohlibor<\/em>, a five-year-old Baloch child, was killed by direct gunfire from security forces. His mother was also injured in the incident, which tragically led to a miscarriage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Mahmoud Beriji<\/em>, 24, was shot and killed by security forces in South Khorasan province.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Mohammad Kobdani<\/em>, 19, was shot and killed in Zahedan on February 8.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Mohammadreza Mandizadeh<\/em>, was injured by security forces\u2019 gunfire on February 25.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hamed Kobdani , 18, and <em>Ahmad Notani<\/em> were wounded and subsequently arrested by security forces.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <em>Baloch woman<\/em> was severely injured after security forces opened fire on her moving vehicle without prior warning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <em>Baloch fuel carrier<\/em> was injured in Jiroft after security forces threw metal spikes at him.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, two separate landmine explosions, reportedly planted by security forces in the border areas of Saravan, resulted in the death of one Baloch citizen and injuries to three others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, two Baloch citizens were killed by Taliban military forces in Nimroz province, Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>                                <strong> Arrest of Baloch Citizens in February<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In February, the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrested at least 31 Baloch citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The identities of some of the detainees are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Ahmad Khakzehi<\/em>, 20 years old<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Ahmad Zeinodini<\/em>, 18 years old<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After hearing the news of Ahmad Zeinodini&#8217;s arrest, his mother, <em>Rahimeh Khakzehi<\/em>, suffered a heart attack and passed away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other detainees include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Dormohammad Gomshadzahi<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Karim Gomshadzahi<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Asad Rigi-Hosseinbar<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Omid and Belal Mahmoudzehi<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Barakat Bamari<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Mirza Rahmatzehi<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Arsalan Barahouei<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Molavi Imran Salami<\/em>, a Baloch cleric from Sarbaz County<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This wave of arrests has taken place amid increasing security pressures on the Baloch community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>             <strong> Demolition and Confiscation of Baloch Citizens\u2019 Properties in February<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In February 2025, security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in collaboration with the Housing Foundation and the Natural Resources Administration, carried out the demolition and confiscation of properties belonging to Baloch citizens in various parts of Sistan and Baluchestan province. These actions, executed without providing adequate alternatives or compensation, are aimed at altering the demographic composition and transferring the confiscated lands to non-local individuals and regime affiliates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to documented reports, the widespread demolitions included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On February 2, a residential house in the Komb area of Chabahar and another house in Moradabad Chabahar were demolished.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On February 3, a residential house in the Lucho area of Zahedan was destroyed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On February 7, another residential house in Moradabad Chabahar was reported demolished.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On February 10, a residential unit in Hootabad Chabahar was targeted for demolition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On February 18, at least <em>18 under-construction residential units<\/em> belonging to Baloch citizens in the Lucho area of Zahedan were demolished.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition to residential properties, during February, <em>two under-construction shops<\/em> belonging to Baloch citizens in the Sarzeh area of Iranshahr were demolished by security forces and the Housing Foundation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Simultaneously, the Islamic Republic of Iran has continued the large-scale confiscation of Baloch citizens\u2019 lands. Recently, <em>10,000 plots of land<\/em> belonging to Baloch people in Zahedan have been seized. These lands have primarily been allocated to government employees and regime affiliates\u2014an action widely regarded as part of policies aimed at altering the demographic structure and marginalizing the indigenous Baloch community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Medical Negligence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em><strong>Death of a Young Baloch Woman Due to Medical Negligence<\/strong><\/em><br>Mina Hooti, a 25-year-old from Nikshahr, died after a C-section due to severe bleeding and lack of proper medical care. Her hemoglobin level dropped dangerously low, but she was discharged without specialized treatment. After her condition worsened, she was transferred to Imam Ali Hospital in Zahedan, where delays and inadequate facilities led to her death. Her family is demanding accountability from authorities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>Severe Burns and Lack of Medical Facilities in Zahedan<\/strong><\/em><br>Abdulrahman Kharkouei, a 29-year-old from Zahedan, suffered 50% burns while cooking. Imam Ali Hospital lacked the necessary medical facilities, and doctors recommended transferring him to another city. However, his family has not yet been able to arrange his transfer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em><strong>Death of a Baloch Prisoner in Iranshahr Prison<\/strong><\/em><br>Hassan Damani, a 33-year-old from Iranshahr, was detained on false charges and remained in legal limbo for months. After falling ill, he was denied medical care and placed in solitary confinement, where he died.
