According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, Amer Ramesh, a 19-year-old Baloch political prisoner, was executed at dawn today in Zahedan Central Prison.
Amer Ramesh had previously been subjected to forced confessions, denied access to legal representation, and was held for months without family visits. His trial was conducted under serious due process violations, and his appeal was later rejected by the Supreme Court.
Reports also indicate that security institutions had placed intense pressure on his family, demanding cooperation and attempting to force his brother—an opposition activist abroad—to surrender, in exchange for halting the execution.
His execution raises serious concerns over human rights violations, including the use of torture, denial of fair trial, and coercion of family members.

The arrest, detention, and execution of individuals under such conditions represent a grave breach of fundamental human rights.

According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, two Baloch teenage citizens were arrested by security forces in the counties of Sarbaz and Chabahar. Additionally, about one month earlier, another citizen had been arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location. Despite follow-ups by their families, no clear information has been provided so far.The identities of these three Baloch citizens have been reported as:Abdulrahman Raisi, 17, son of Molavi Doost Mohammad Raisi, the Friday prayer leader of NasirabadAli Talatf, 17Both are from the village of Nasirabad in Sarbaz CountyHafiz Yasin Taj, 30, from Aliabad village in Sarbaz CountyAccording to the report, Abdulrahman and Ali, who were arrested on April 8 in the city of Chabahar by security forces, were transferred to Zahedan on April 18 after 10 days of detention in Chabahar.Hafiz Yasin Taj, who had been arrested about a month earlier in Sarbaz County, has been transferred to Ward 9 of Zahedan Central Prison. He is the brother of Molavi Abdulqayyum Taj, a Sunni writer, who has previously been repeatedly summoned and interrogated by security agencies.There is still no information available regarding the arresting authority, their exact place of detention, or the charges brought against these three Baloch citizens.According to collected data, at least 978 people were arrested in Balochistan during 2025. Among them, 394 individuals lacked identity documents or birth certificates. Additionally, 19 cases of group arrests were recorded, where more than one person was detained at the same time, and in 12 cases, more than five individuals were arrested in a single operation.

According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, yesterday, April 24, 2026, “Amer Ramesh,” a Baloch political prisoner whose forced confessions had previously been broadcast by state media, informed his family in a phone call from Zahedan Central Prison that he had been transferred to the prison’s quarantine section for the implementation of his death sentence. He stated that his execution is scheduled to be carried out at dawn on Sunday, April 26.
The case of Amer Ramesh was handled by the Zahedan Revolutionary Court under conditions where he had been denied family visits for approximately six months during his detention. During this same period, his court sessions were held, and his family’s first visit with him only took place in the eighth month of his detention, in Zahedan Prison. After appealing the issued sentence, his case was referred to the Supreme Court; however, after about four months, the court rejected the appeal.
It has been reported that, alongside the family’s efforts to secure his release, they were asked to cooperate with security institutions in exchange for Amer’s freedom. They were even given the names of three opposition figures and were suggested to take action to assassinate them. Now, at the same time as Amer’s transfer to quarantine, his family is under pressure from security institutions and has been told that his brother—who is a political activist opposing the Islamic Republic of Iran and resides abroad—must contact these institutions and cooperate or surrender himself; otherwise, Amer’s execution will be carried out.
Amer Ramesh, approximately 19 years old, son of Elahin-Bakhsh, and a resident of the village of Belingi in the Pirsahrab district of Chabahar County, was previously arrested on October 3, 2024, during a raid by military and security forces on an herbal shop in the village of Belingi. At the time, security forces had informed his family that he had been killed in the incident; however, it later became clear that he was alive and in their custody. On October 12, 2024, state media released a video of his forced confessions. In the footage, Amer appeared to have visible bruising and injury around his left eye, indicating that he had been physically tortured after his arrest.
It is worth noting that on the night of October 3, 2024, military and security forces attacked the herbal shop in Belingi village using light and semi-heavy weapons, including RPGs and mortars. The attack resulted in the deaths of three individuals: “Mohammad Sahebzai,” known as Nasir, approximately 31 years old from Rask; “Mohammadgol Shahouzehi (Baluch),” known as Asadollah, approximately 25 years old from the Kishkor region of Sarbaz County and residing in Rask; and “Shahab Jadgal,” approximately 18 years old. Two others, “Hamed Jadgal,” 20, and “Shoaib Durtaj (Jadgal),” 25, were injured.
Security forces returned Shahab’s body to his family on October 11, 2024, and he was buried the following day in his home village of Belingi. After continued efforts by the families and relatives, the bodies of the other two victims were returned after 27 days, on October 29, 2024, from a morgue in Zahedan. On the morning of October 30, Mohammadgol was buried in the Kishkor region of Sarbaz, and Mohammad was buried in the city of Rask.

According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on the evening of Wednesday, April 22, 2026, occupants of a Toyota Land Cruiser near the village of Jakigur, in Rask County, were targeted by gunfire from Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces. At least two of them were killed on the spot.
The identities of the two Baloch citizens have been confirmed as Mohammad Eslam Saeedi, approximately 31 years old, son of Musa, and Mohammad Akram Akhtari, approximately 28 years old, son of Morad Mohammad—both from the village of Darchub in the Sarkur area of Sarbaz County. Reports indicate that the vehicle was shot at without prior warning or order to stop, and the occupants were killed after being struck by multiple bullets.
State-affiliated media outlets, including Fars News Agency, had previously cited security sources claiming that an armed team in Rask County had been targeted in an operation and that several of its members were killed. They also published images of two individuals lying on the ground with their faces blurred.
According to documented data collected in 2025, direct shootings, home raids, landmine explosions, and physical assaults by military and security forces have affected at least 173 people in Balochistan. Of these, 107 lost their lives and 66 were injured. Among those killed were 3 women and 1 child, while the injured included 16 women and 4 children.

Deepening Deprivation: The Consequences of War in Sistan and Balochistan

Baluohistan Human Rights Group – On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, DW Persian, in a report published amid escalating military tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel, examined the unequal consequences of war in Sistan and Balochistan, one of Iran’s most deprived regions. Disruptions to infrastructure, border closures, rising prices of essential goods, and restricted access to healthcare services have placed people’s lives under severe pressure.

In this context, Masoud Raeesi, Executive Director of the Balochistan Human Rights Group, stated:
“War usually imposes the greatest economic pressure on regions that already have weak economic conditions. The economies of these areas depend on local and cross-border activities, and with border closures or increased controls, many jobs are lost or disrupted. This reduces or cuts off household incomes.”
He also emphasized:
“When supply routes are disrupted, the crisis becomes more severe in remote areas. Prices of food, fuel, and essential goods rise, while people’s incomes decline, multiplying economic pressure.”

Fariba Baloch, a human rights activist and women’s rights advocate, also said:
“Even under normal conditions, people in Balochistan face widespread deprivation, and war has intensified these problems. Border closures, food shortages, and rising prices have made the situation much harder, and for those without identity documents, access to basic services has become even more difficult.”

Rahim Bandoui, a member of the central council of the Balochistan People’s Party, stated:
“The centralized governance structure in Iran over the past century has left the Baloch deprived of development infrastructure, and in times of war, this underdevelopment and the development gap become even deeper.”

The continuation of this trend, combined with a long history of structural deprivation, could lead to increased migration, the expansion of poverty, and the deepening of the cycle of underdevelopment in Sistan and Balochistan. This highlights how the centralized and security-oriented policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran have not only failed to respond to crises but, by ignoring the basic needs of the people, have contributed to growing inequality and instability in border regions.

Today, Nasser Boladai, Secretary General of the Baloch People’s Party, issued a statement in response to recent international calls urging humanitarian consideration for prisoners facing execution in Iran. He called on the global community and international leaders to adopt a broader and more consistent approach to human rights by also addressing the situation in Balochistan.
In his message, he welcomed the emphasis on the value of human life, compassion, and justice, stressing that such principles must be applied equally in all cases of human rights violations. Nasser Boladai specifically highlighted the situation of Mahrang Baloch, a prominent human rights activist and a leading voice of peaceful advocacy, who remains in detention.
He noted that Mahrang Baloch, a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, has become an internationally recognized advocate for human dignity and the rights of the people of Balochistan. He called for urgent international attention to her case, as well as to other detained members of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee.
Boladai further emphasized that the continued detention of civil and human rights activists not only raises serious international concerns but also poses a significant obstacle to dialogue, peace, and long-term stability in the region. He urged the Pakistani authorities to uphold humanitarian principles and fundamental rights by ensuring the release of these activists and by adopting dialogue and reconciliation instead of security-driven approaches.
The statement concludes by underscoring that support for human rights, justice, and peace must not be confined to any single geography, but should be upheld as universal values, equally respected and protected for all people, everywhere.

Amidst a surging wave of insecurity and the blatant violation of the right to life in Balochistan, reports indicate a horrific crime in the city of Gosht, Saravan County, resulting in the death of a young child under inhumane circumstances.

Incident Details and Identification

According to investigations by the Balochistan Human Rights Group, the victim has been identified as Fatemeh-Zahra Hosseinbor, 9 years old, daughter of Younes, and a resident of Gosht. Fatemeh-Zahra was abducted around 7:00 PM on Friday evening, April 17, 2026 (28 Farvardin 1405), in front of her residence by armed individuals driving a Peugeot Pars with no license plates.
After four days of disappearance and an exhaustive search by her family and local residents, her lifeless and mutilated body was discovered on April 20 (31 Farvardin) on the outskirts of the city, near a waste disposal site.

Evidence of Torture and Inhumane Treatment

Field reports indicate unprecedented cruelty in this case. Based on documentation obtained by the Balochistan Human Rights Group:

  • The 9-year-old’s body was mutilated, with both of her hands severed.
  • Following the murder, the perpetrators set the body on fire. Due to the severity of the burns, the face was unrecognizable, and the family was only able to confirm her identity through markings on the soles of her feet.

Absence of Personal Grievance and State Responsibility

According to relatives, Fatemeh-Zahra’s father is a bakery worker, and the family had no personal disputes or vendettas with any individuals or groups. This underscores the hypothesis that the crime stems from the prevailing climate of general insecurity.
The Balochistan Human Rights Group emphasizes that the free movement of armed, unlicensed vehicles in the city and the occurrence of such abductions in the early evening are clear signs of the security apparatus’s failure to fulfill its inherent duty to “ensure the safety of citizens.”

Statistical and Legal Perspective

This crime occurs as statistics recorded by this group for the year of 2025 show that, to date, 45 children in Balochistan have been killed or injured.

  • Violation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child: According to Articles 6 and 19 of this convention, states are obligated to guarantee the right to life and protect children from all forms of physical violence and abuse.
  • Right to Security: The systematic lack of security in this region has seriously threatened the right to life for Baloch citizens.
    The Balochistan Human Rights Group vehemently condemns this inhuman crime and calls for the intervention of independent international bodies to pressure relevant authorities to identify the perpetrators and end the culture of “impunity” regarding crimes against Baloch children.

The identities of the two teenagers have been reported as Ali Sepahani, approximately 18 years old, son of Niroz, and Emran Sepahani, approximately 17 years old, son of Mohammad Noor. Both were residents of the border village of Bonser, located in Kalgan County.
According to the report, at around 7 a.m., the two teenagers had gone to the outskirts of the village in the Kalgan border area to graze their sheep when they were directly targeted by IRGC forces without prior warning. Emran Sepahani was struck by two bullets to the chest and died at the scene. Ali Sepahani, who was with him, was also injured by gunfire and left at the location.
Relatives of the two teenagers stated that Emran’s body was collected by military forces and transferred to the Kalgan border post. Ali, however, remained at the scene for several hours. Around noon, his relatives found him still alive and attempted to take him to the hospital, but he died on the way due to the severity of his injuries.
At the time of this report, no further information is available regarding the reason for the shooting by IRGC forces.
