According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on the morning of Friday, July 4, 2025, a Baloch citizen lost both of his legs due to a mine explosion in the border area between Gulshan (Jalq) and Mashkil.

The identity of the Baloch citizen has been reported as Salim Rigi, 27 years old, son of Dadrahman, a resident of the Mashkil area in Saravan County.

It is noted that the incident occurred in an area known as “Mak-Sakhteh” along the Gulshan-Mashkil border axis, caused by the explosion of a mine previously planted by the IRGC forces without any markings or warnings.

Salim, while passing through the area, stepped on the mine, and due to the severe explosion, he lost both of his legs. Following the incident, he was transferred to Razi Hospital in Saravan and is currently receiving treatment.

It is worth mentioning that, according to the annual report of the Balochistan Human Rights Group, from the beginning to the end of 2024, at least 479 fuel carriers have been killed or injured due to road accidents, shootings by military forces, attacks by unidentified armed individuals, mine explosions, fires, and drownings. Among them, 253 have lost their lives, and 226 have been injured.
