According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, dozens of military vehicles belonging to the IRGC Intelligence and police forces raided Gunich village, located in the Karvandar district of Khash County. This heavy operation was conducted under the pretext of arresting “armed elements opposing the regime.” However, local residents stated that no armed individuals were present in the village, and the atmosphere of fear was created based on baseless accusations.
During the raid, dozens of military vehicles completely surrounded the village’s entrances and exits, instilling fear and anxiety in the area, to the extent that women and children were reduced to tears in panic. Eyewitnesses told BHRG that the attacking forces fired at homes without prior warning, resulting in at least two women from the village being injured. The identities of the injured remain unknown at the time of this report.
A village resident told Rasanak: “Shooting at defenseless women who were protesting the behavior of the military forces is not a security operation but an assault on human dignity and the honor of women. Forces that are supposed to protect the people’s security have become the source of terror through raids and bullets.”
It is worth noting that the injured individuals from the indiscriminate shootings by plainclothes and military forces were transferred to Khash Hospital by local residents, and no information about their condition has been received so far.
According to the 2024 annual report by the Balochistan Human Rights Group, the actions of military and security forces have resulted in the death or injury of at least 208 Baloch citizens in various regions. Of these, 115 people lost their lives, and 93 were injured, including 13 children and 4 women among the deceased, and 20 children and 12 women among the injured.
