According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on the evening of May 26, 2024, a Baloch citizen was killed after being directly shot by border patrol forces in the Makki area of Dost Mohammad (Hirmand) County.
The victim was identified as Ali Mahmoudi (Sarani) approximately 27 years old, son of Hossein-Ali, and a resident of Dost Mohammad.
Sources from the Balochistan Human Rights Group reported that around 11 PM, while Ali was working on his farm in Makki, border guards opened fire on him without any prior warning hitting him in the head.
The sources added that the military forces fled the scene without providing any explanation to local residents. Villagers transported Ali to a medical center, but he succumbed to severe bleeding on the way.
