According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, security forces raided the home of a Baloch citizen in the city of Mirjaveh, arresting him without presenting a judicial warrant or informing him of any charges, and transferred him to an undisclosed location. The operation was carried out with multiple security vehicles, creating a climate of fear and causing distress among the family and local residents.
The identity of the arrested Baloch citizen has been reported as Behrouz Mirbalochzehi, 36 years old, son of Morad, and a resident of Mirjaveh. He is known as the driver and bodyguard of Molavi Abdulqahar Mirbalochzehi, the popular Friday prayer leader of Mirjaveh, who was previously dismissed from his position by government authorities.
According to the report, following the forced dismissal of Molavi Abdulqahar Mirbalochzehi, many of his associates have come under pressure from security institutions, with some being summoned or detained. The ongoing pressure reflects the state’s security-driven policy of suppressing prominent religious and community figures among the Baloch population and their associates, which has heightened concerns among the region’s residents.Â
