According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, at dawn on Sunday, May 4, 2025, the state carried out the execution of five Baloch prisoners in the prisons of Birjand and Zahedan.

Four of these individuals were executed in Birjand Prison and one in Zahedan Prison. The identities of the prisoners are as follows:

– Khosrow Sarani, approximately 42 years old, son of Gholamrasoul, married with two children, from Deh Doost-Mohammad in Hirmand County.  

– Mahmoud Sarani (Rakhshani), 41 years old, son of Haji Gholam, from the village of Sarani in Hirmand and a resident of Azadshahr and Zahedan.  

– Yousef Sarvroosh (Narouei), 52 years old, son of Jan-Mohammad, from Zahedan.  

– Alireza Laloozaei, 52 years old, resident of Mashhad.  

– Nayeb Balochi (Khan-Mohammad Ozbagzehi), 38 years old, son of Molla Karim, resident of Zahedan. (Executed in Zahedan Prison)

According to the report, from dawn on April 7 to May 4, 2025, at least 38 Baloch prisoners were executed in various prisons across the country, including Vakilabad (Mashhad), Shahrood, Iranshahr, Zahedan, Bandar Abbas, Kerman, Yazd, Ghezel Hesar, Isfahan, and Birjand.

Based on the Balochistan Human Rights Group’s 2024 annual report, at least 111 Baloch prisoners were executed in various cities in Iran. Among these, Zahedan Prison with 27 cases, Birjand with 13, and Yazd with 14 had the highest number of executions.
