the province of Sistan and Balochistan has once again witnessed violence, human rights violations, and targeted executions against Baloch citizens. According to data collected by the Balochistan Human Rights Group during this period, numerous cases of extrajudicial killings, executions, arbitrary arrests, home demolitions, and severe violations of prisoners’ rights have been reported—painting a disturbing picture of systematic and targeted repression in the region.

Fuel Carriers

In the crackdown on fuel carriers along the eastern borders, at least 13 Baloch fuel carriers lost their lives, and 8 others were injured. According to available information, 3 fuel carriers were killed by Iranian security forces. Among the injured, 2 were shot by Pakistani forces, and 1 by Iranian forces.

In another case, a Baloch teenager named Isa Nazari was mysteriously killed after being detained by Fohreh police station forces. His body was found with bullet wounds to the back of the head in a mined area.

Executions

During Farvardin and early Ordibehesht 1404, at least 33 Baloch prisoner were executed in Iran In just one week, from April 7 to April 13 (Farvardin 19 to 26), 21 Baloch citizens were executed in prisons including Zahedan, Kerman, Bandar Abbas, and Iranshahr. Reports indicate that most of these individuals were executed without fair trials, independent lawyers, or judicial transparency.

Threat of Further Executions and Judicial Injustice

According to human rights groups, 85 Baloch prisoners in Zahedan Central Prison are currently at risk of imminent execution. Human rights organizations have warned that these numbers are indicative of structural crimes and potential crimes against humanity, urging immediate international action.

Other Human Rights Violations

Demolition of 13 Baloch homes in Zahedan, Chabahar, and Zahak over four days—carried out without court orders and accompanied by physical threats to the families.

Arbitrary arrest of Idris Rigi, 26, in Khash, with no information about his whereabouts or condition after 23 days.

Hunger strike by Baloch activists in Eastern Balochistan held in Pakistani prisons—Dr. Mahrang Baloch and Shajji Baloch—in protest against torture and illegal detention.

– Temporary furlough granted to two Baloch political prisoners, including Molavi Fazl Rahman Koohi and Peyman Kaharzehi, despite severe prison conditions and intense security pressures.

Conclusion

According to documented data, the human rights situation in Balochistan is critical. The widespread executions, targeted killings, home demolitions, arbitrary detentions, and denial of fair trials point to a policy of systematic repression against the Baloch minority.

In such circumstances, international response—especially from the United Nations and human rights organizations—is essential and urgent to prevent the continuation of these grave violations.
