On the night of April 25, 2025, another tragedy struck the marginalized Baloch community. Reza Jinak (also known as Raouf Jadgal), a 15-year-old boy from the village of Komb, located on the outskirts of Chabahar city, was brutally killed by unknown individuals using a sharp weapon.

According to local sources, around 6:30 PM, near the old police station in the Lelo area of Komb, Reza became involved in an altercation with several unidentified assailants. During the confrontation, he was stabbed in the abdomen. Despite efforts to save him, Reza succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital.

As of the time of this report, the identity of those responsible for this heinous act remains unknown. No arrests have been made, and no suspects have been officially named.

This heartbreaking incident once again highlights the dire security situation in Balochistan. Despite being one of the most heavily militarized and security-controlled provinces in Iran, Balochistan remains extremely unsafe for its residents. Violent crimes, targeted killings, and systemic discrimination have created an environment where safety is a constant concern, especially for young people like Reza, who dream of a future free from fear and violence.

The killing of Reza is not just the loss of one innocent life — it is a painful reminder of the many lives endangered daily by lawlessness, neglect, and systemic injustice in Balochistan.
