According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, at dawn on Saturday, April 26, 2025, the death sentences of two Baloch prisoners — one a political-religious prisoner and the other convicted of drug-related offenses — were carried out by authorities at Zahedan Central Prison.

The political prisoner’s identity has been confirmed as Rostam Zein al-Dini, also known as Haji Gol, a 30-year-old married man with two children from the village of Surjah, Lashar County. The second prisoner was identified as Abdolsamad Shahbazi (Beriechi), a 28-year-old from Zahedan.

According to this report, Rostam Zein al-Dini was arrested in 2023 by security forces in the Espakeh area on charges of “collaboration with Jaish al-Adl.” After being transferred to Zahedan, he was subjected to severe physical and psychological torture. Deprived of the right to choose his own lawyer and to freely defend himself, he was sentenced to death after a brief and opaque trial. Despite denying all charges and declaring them baseless after his transfer to Zahedan Prison, his death sentence was upheld and ultimately carried out.

Similarly, Abdolsamad Shahbazi was arrested in Mirjaveh in 2023 on drug-related charges and was later sentenced to death by the Zahedan Revolutionary Court.
