Two Baloch fuel carriers lost their lives and another individual was injured following a traffic accident on the Sarbaz-Nikshahr road.

According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, a fuel-laden Land Cruiser collided with a Pride vehicle near the village of Potan on the Sarbaz-Nikshahr route. As a result of the collision, the Land Cruiser caught fire, and both of its occupants were killed in the flames. The driver of the Pride vehicle sustained serious injuries.

One of the deceased fuel carriers has been identified as *Mohsen Dehghan Ban*, 25 years old, son of Allahbakhsh, from the village of Gornag in the Kishkur district of Sarbaz County. The identity of the second deceased fuel carrier and the injured individual remains unknown at the time of this report.

Local sources report that the cause of the accident was poor road conditions, including potholes, which caused the vehicle to veer off course and crash.

This incident once again highlights the dangerous conditions faced by Baloch fuel carriers—individuals who, due to a lack of employment opportunities, are forced to engage in this high-risk livelihood.
