According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on March 22, 2025, Hessam Boladai, an 18-year-old Baloch man from Rasak who had traveled to Isfahan for work, was transferred to Zahedan Central Prison.
He was arrested on March 18, 2025, following a raid by plainclothes IRGC intelligence forces on a workers’ dormitory belonging to a restaurant in Isfahan. Reports indicate that he was subjected to severe physical torture while in custody.
It is said that Hessam was arrested alongside another individual, Mohammad Boladai, who was released a few hours later.
After learning of Hessam’s transfer from the IRGC intelligence detention center in Isfahan to Zahedan Central Prison, his family traveled to the prison and was able to meet him on March 22. During the visit, they found that Hessam had been brutally beaten during his detention, suffering severe injuries to both wrists.
Prison officials have accused him of political activity through social media.
Reports indicate that Hessam and Mohammad had gone to Isfahan for work and were employed at a restaurant when plainclothes IRGC intelligence agents raided their dormitory at night and arrested them.
It is said that Hessam Boladai was detained for posting Instagram stories about the Bloody Fridays in Zahedan and Khash, as well as honoring the martyrs of Rasak who were killed by security forces in recent years.
