According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, a Baloch fuel carrier lost his life in a fire after being pursued and shot at by Yegan amdad forces on the Borj Dashtu to Rigan route.

The victim has been identified as Abdulhadi Shahiki, 29 years old, son of Karim, and a resident of Rigan.

According to the report, Yagan Amdad forces chased Abdulhadi’s vehicle in the Borj Dashtu area and opened fire. As a result, the vehicle caught fire, and he died in the flames.

Fuel Carrier Casualty Statistics for 2024

Based on the annual report of the Balochistan Human Rights Group, in 2024:

  • 479 fuel carriers were killed or injured.
  • 253 lost their lives, and 226 were injured.
  • 136 casualties resulted from shootings and pursuits by military forces.
  • 3 fuel carriers were killed, and 7 were injured in attacks by unidentified armed individuals and thieves.
  • 2 fuel carriers drowned while transporting fuel.
  • 3 others died in fires.
