According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on the evening of Sunday, February 4, 2025, a personal vehicle was targeted by indiscriminate gunfire from the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the Nosratabad-Zahedan road while they were chasing a fuel carrier. This incident led to a car accident and the injury of the driver, who was a woman.

During the pursuit, the security forces fired at a Peugeot 405 without adhering to firearm use regulations. As a result, the female driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a roadside guardrail.

Reports indicate that after witnessing the accident, which occurred around 8 PM, the security forces left the scene without providing any assistance, leaving the injured woman in a vulnerable condition.

It is worth noting that the recklessness and irresponsible behavior of security forces on Balochistan’s roads continue to endanger civilians and have increased public concern over the lack of security in the region’s highways.

According to collected reports from 2023, direct shootings by security forces resulted in at least 120 Baloch civilians being killed or injured. Among them, 80 people lost their lives, while 40 were wounded, including 9 children and 3 women.
