According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Sunday, January 26, 2025, plainclothes officers from the Intelligence Department violently arrested a 17-year-old Baloch teenager named Amir Baloch, son of Rahim Bakhsh, in the village of Malekabad, located in the Sarkur region of Sarbaz County. The arrest was carried out without presenting any judicial warrant, and the teenager was taken to an unknown location.

Amir Baloch is a student at the religious school Manba-ul-Uloom in Kohwan and a resident of the village of Ouriz in the Sarkur region. According to reports, plainclothes security officers arrived in the village of Malekabad in two vehicles. They called Amir over from in front of a kebab shop, and as he approached their car, they forcefully detained him without presenting any judicial warrant. They immediately left the area, taking him to an undisclosed location.

As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for Amir’s arrest or any charges brought against him.
