According to Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Friday, January 17, 2025, security forces at the Rayen checkpoint in Kerman province pursued and opened fire at two vehicles with license plates from Sistan and Balochistan province. They subsequently arrested at least five Baloch citizens, seized their vehicles, and transferred them to an unknown location.

The identities of three of the detainees have been confirmed as follows:

  • Moslem Rigi (Kaharazahi), 22 years old
  • Aslam Rigi (Kaharazahi), 25 years old, both sons of Abdulghani and residents of Mirjaveh
  • Arman Kaharazahi, approximately 28 years old, son of Abduljalil

The identities of the two other detainees, also from the Kaharazahi clan and with the surname Rigi, remain unknown at the time of this report.

According to the report, security forces chased the two vehicles near the Rayen checkpoint, fired at them, and then arrested the drivers and passengers with verbal abuse. Their vehicles were also confiscated.

The charges against these individuals remain unclear at the time of reporting.
