According to Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Thursday, January 16, 2025, a Baloch citizen was targeted by unknown gunmen in the Gharibabad area of Iranshahr and lost his life due to severe injuries.
The identity of the victim has been confirmed as Karim Bakhsh Dandankard, approximately 50 years old, son of Jom’a, married, father of five, and a resident of Abtar village in the Iranshahr district.
Reports indicate that on Thursday afternoon, at around 5:00 PM, unknown gunmen directly shot Karim Bakhsh in Gharibabad. Despite being transferred to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 9:00 PM due to the severity of his wounds.
The identity and motive of the attackers remain unknown at the time of reporting.
According to collected data from 2023, at least 192 Baloch citizens were attacked by unknown gunmen, resulting in 150 fatalities and 42 injuries. Among the victims were at least five children and four women.
