On Monday, November 4, 2024, a Baloch citizen who was arrested by the Intelligence Department forces in Zahedan on charges of “murder” remains detained in Zahedan Central Prison after 54 days. Despite no evidence being presented against him and his repeated denial of the allegations, he is still held without resolution.

The identity of this Baloch citizen has been revealed as Younes Ghanbarzehi, 21 years old, the son of Nazarmohammad, unmarried, and a resident of Zahedan.

Younes was arrested in the Jihad Town area of Zahedan by the Intelligence Department forces on allegations of “murder.” Although he has repeatedly denied the accusations, he is being held in Zahedan Central Prison due to familial ties to the primary suspect, who is currently on the run.

It is reported that Younes suffers from health issues, including heart problems, high blood pressure, and diabetes, and he experiences occasional seizures. This has caused great concern for his family, who belong to the underprivileged sector of society and are unable to afford legal representation.
