On Monday, December 23, 2024, Branch 6 of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office of Zahedan summoned five individuals, including a Baloch woman who were recently detained in protests following Bloody Friday in Zahedan. They have been asked to appear in this branch of the Revolutionary Court on December 28, 2024.
The identities of these citizens are as follows:
Arezou Narouei
Hamidreza Kouhkan, son of Shirjan and husband of Arezou
Mohammad Kharot Din Mohammadi (Harith Kharot), 17 years old, son of Shamlon
Ahmad Ali Kouhkan, 24 years old
Ali Akbar Kouhkan, 21 years old, both sons of Halim
These five citizens have been re-summoned to the Revolutionary Court of Zahedan while Hamidreza Kouhkan is still in the custody of military forces and is being held in Ward 9 of Zahedan Central Prison, which is the political ward. The charges against them are “destruction of government property,” “membership in opposition groups” (membership in the rebellious hypocrites group), and “propaganda activities against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
It is worth mentioning that on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, Hamidreza Kouhkan, Arezou Narouei, Ali Akbar Kouhkan, and Mohammad Kharot Din Mohammadi (Harith Kharot) were arrested in two separate actions by the Zahedan Intelligence Office forces and transferred to the detention center of this institution. On February 15 and March 1, 2024, Ali Akbar and Arezou were released on bail, and then on May 30, 2024, Mohammad (Harith) was released after 114 days on bail.
Ahmad Ali Kouhkan, also known as Ali Ahmad, who is one of the injured from Bloody Friday in Zahedan and had filed a complaint against the military forces for shooting at him and other people on October 30, 2022, was summoned to the Zahedan Intelligence Office on April 6, 2024, and was arrested by this institution. He was released on bail on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
