On the evening of Saturday, December 2, 2024, a collision and subsequent fire involving a Peugeot 405 and a fuel-carrying Pride car on the Masjed Abolfazl to Bazman road resulted in the death of two fuel carriers, Mehrzad Hosseinzahi and Mehrdad Hosseinzahi, along with the sole occupant of the other vehicle.

The identity of the other victim remains unknown at this time.

According to annual statistics, as of the end of 2023, at least 321 fuel carriers have been killed or injured in various incidents. These include 28 fatalities and 17 injuries from direct military shootings, 194 fatalities and 58 injuries in road accidents, and 14 casualties in incidents such as fires, floods, or unknown causes.
