On Thursday, November 7, 2024, three Baloch citizens were arrested by plainclothes agents of the Intelligence Office in the market area of Chabahar and subsequently transferred to the Intelligence Office detention center in Zahedan. Twenty-five days later, on Monday, December 2, their forced confessions were broadcast on state-affiliated media.

The identities of two of the detainees have been confirmed as “Mehran Gonjati” and his brother “Mehrdad Gonjati,” both sons of Anvar, while the third detainee is “Zahid Parki.” All three are reported to be residents of Chabahar and originally from Sib and Suran County.

According to reports, the forced confessions of Mehran Gonjati, under the alias “Davood,” were recorded in the presence of Zahedan’s prosecutor, Mehdi Shamsabadi. In the video, Shamsabadi claimed that during an operation called the “Martyrs of Security Exercise,” these individuals, identified as the “leaders of a terrorist group linked to ethnic separatists,” were arrested. He also stated that four armed individuals were killed in the operation and that weapons and ammunition were seized from them.
