In the early hours of Friday, October 25, 2024, Omid Sarani, a 28-year-old fuel carrier from Zabol, lost his life after a high-speed chase by emergency forces 35 kilometers from Nehbandan. His vehicle overturned, resulting in fatal injuries. As of the time of this report, his family has not yet received his body.
According to reports, at least 321 fuel carriers have been killed or injured in various incidents since the start of 2023. Of these, 28 lost their lives due to direct military gunfire, 194 died in road accidents, and 8 were killed in attacks by unknown armed individuals.
