Today, Friday, September 27, 2024, young Baloch protesters once again took to the streets of Zahedan, raising their voices against injustice and inequality. By burning tires and chanting slogans such as “By the blood of our comrades, we stand till the end,” they reaffirmed their commitment to the struggle for human rights and justice.

These protests mark the second anniversary of “Bloody Friday,” a tragic day when military forces brutally attacked innocent worshippers in Zahedan, leaving dozens dead. The people of Balochistan have not forgotten this violent injustice and continue to demand accountability and justice through ongoing demonstrations.

🔸Balochistan has long faced discrimination, deprivation, and state oppression. These protests are not only a remembrance of the pain and suffering from Bloody Friday but also a symbol of resistance in the pursuit of human rights, freedom, and dignity.

💬 Mawlavi Abdulhamid, the Friday prayer leader in Zahedan, urged the public to return to their homes peacefully after the prayers. However, the heavy presence of security forces and the deployment of military units from neighboring provinces signal continued repression and increasing pressure on the Baloch people.
